Every Dear One

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 31 May 2026

Every Dear One helps you write letters to the people you love and have them delivered by email at a time you choose. This policy explains what information we hold, why, and what you can do about it. We've tried to write it plainly rather than in legalese.

Who is responsible for your data

The person responsible for the information collected here (the "data controller") is Ronald Ikpe, contactable at privacy@everydearone.com. If you have any question about your data, that's who to write to.

What we collect

About the people you add

When you add a loved one and schedule a letter, we store their email address and send them email on your behalf. This means we process personal information about people who may not themselves be users. We ask that you only add people you have a genuine personal relationship with, and who would reasonably expect to hear from you.

Every email we send on your behalf includes a one-click unsubscribe link. If a recipient unsubscribes, we stop sending to them and record that choice. Recipients can also contact us at privacy@everydearone.com to have their information removed.

How your information is used

We do not sell your information, and we do not show advertising. We don't read your letters for any purpose other than delivering them.

Where your information is stored

Account data, your people, and your letters are stored using Supabase (database and file storage). Emails are delivered using ZeptoMail. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. Data may be processed outside your country; where that happens, we rely on the safeguards these providers maintain.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. Delivered letters are preserved in your archive so you can re-read them. If you delete your account, we delete your account data, your people, and your letters.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (and certainly if you are in the UK or EU under GDPR), you have the right to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how it's used. You can do most of this from within your account, or by writing to privacy@everydearone.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Every Dear One is not intended for children under 16. Please don't create an account if you are younger than that.

Changes

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know.

A note while this is new: Every Dear One is a small, personal project. This policy is written in good faith, but if you have specific legal concerns we'd encourage you to reach out at the contact address above.
